So, after sitting in the park a good while, I decide I should make my way down to where the museum is - taking the metro this time, even though it was just one stop away. After making it down to the Plaza Baquedano area, in the course of wandering around awhile first trying to find a bathroom, and then trying to find the street I was supposed to go down, I sit down in Parque Forestal, and this was the statue I sat down across from. There were some kids climbing around on it. And a dead rat on the ground in front of me. And I'd earlier gotten random kisses blown at me/ and comments made toward me - I'm developing somewhat of a callous toward "viejos verdes"/dirty old men. Anyway - I just kind of floated along, and after sitting on another park bench or two to check the map again, I found my way to the museum - which was closed. But never fear, I enjoy the park, and cozy cafes, so the afternoon/evening was not wasted. So, I found Cafe Utopia (how great is that?!), got a cold fruit/ice cream drink and a huge chicken sandwich, perused some of their reading materials, and journaled a little bit.
