un gatito

Biggest new around here: a little kitten arrived last night, we shooed her away, and she came back this morning.

We (Shana, Alain, Adriana, me, and Paz the psychologist were all out front putting up some fence-stuff on the gate to keep Patan (the dog - if I've not mentioned Patan, he's super-sweet, although he stunk to high heavens when we were coming back from the parcela) from getting out all the time. In the course of this, a little kitten came through the bars, and came around. We tried to shoo it away - Patan was licking his lips in anticipation, and barking a lot. But it kept coming back - they had a confrontation, and we finally got it to stay away, at least for the rest of the time we were out there. Then, this morning, we go out when the tio arrived to pick up A&A (as I will in the future refer to them jointly), and here comes the gatito. It had been douced in gas - I hope someone wasn't actually going to set it on fire, because that is terrible. Anyway, Shana felt sorry enough for it that we let it come in the house while figuring out what to do with it. Ended up taking it to the vet to get it bathed and also hospitalized for the rest of the day. It'll be picked up in the morning, and then we'll see if Patan and whatever the cat will be called can get along, and if one of Shana's friends will adopt it. If the first is affirmative and the second negative, then we'll have a cat and a dog here - craziness.

After that in the morning, I hung out at the workshop, and we came back here. We had some Coca-Cola Light in the living room, and then Alain learned how to use Paint on the computer, and Adriana was tired and so took a nap. After "once", Adriana sat by the door until Shana came with her surprise in the evening - friends from Concepcion are here to visit for a couple of days.

Tomorrow, I'm going out - don't know where for sure, but in the evening, I'm going to a party with Paulina - some Australians' place. I'm not sure what kind of party - it starts at 5pm, so Shana guessed some kind of barbecue or such. Then, I'll stay the night with Paulina and come back in the afternoon on Sunday. I'll be sure to take my camera. Some day I will be able to connect my camera and computer - some day over the rainbow...
